When I set up a limited company for my freelance IT work in 2010, I knew i needed an accountant but didn’t know any, nor how to find a good one. Fortunately a former colleague who had also set up his own company strongly recommended Lesser and Co, so I contacted them - and I’m very happy I did.
Lesser and Co are based a long way from where I live or work but this hasn’t got in the way of good communication. I feel I can speak to them on the phone whenever I need to, they respond quickly and fully to e-mails and we meet occasionally for a more general catch-up at a mutually convenient venue.
My turnover is not large but they seem very comfortable supporting smaller companies like mine - it doesn’t seem to matter. I feel they do an excellent job of minimising my tax liability - both Corporation and personal tax (mine and my wife’s) and are always willing to explain the rationale for their recommendations.
